Vegan Crispy Smashed Potatoes with Jalapeño Ranch

Smashed potatoes: 

  • 1 lb small golden potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp maldon salt


Jalapeño Ranch: 

  • 2/3 cup vegan sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
  • 1 tbsp dried dill
  • 1 jalapeno, seeds removed
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder




  1. Boil potatoes over medium high heat until fork tender.
  2. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  3. Drain water and place potatoes on a pan lined with parchment paper.
  4. Take a glass with a flat bottom and smash each potato. Drizzle with olive oil and maldon salt.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes or until crispy.
  6. Jalapeno ranch: Place everything in a food process and blend until smooth. Adjust seasoning and consistency as desired. Makes about 3/4 cup.
  7. Serve potatoes with jalapeno ranch. Garnish with cilantro and lime wedges.
