From the moment we stepped into La Grande Boucherie in DC, we were captivated by its stunning ambiance. The open, airy space, complete with soaring ceilings, expansive windows, and a beautifully designed two-floor layout, set the stage for what turned out to be an unforgettable dining experience. Every dish we tried was exceptional. We started with the Dijon mussels, which were perfectly tender and bathed in a flavorful, velvety sauce that begged to be sopped up with the fresh, crusty bread. The scallops were seared to perfection, offering a delicate balance of texture and flavor, while the steak was cooked to an impeccable level of tenderness, bursting with rich, savory notes.
Even the drinks were standouts. The mocktail I ordered was hands-down the best I’ve ever had—refreshing, complex, and beautifully balanced. The cappuccino was equally impressive, crafted with expert precision and a velvety finish that left a lasting impression.
Bringing our two kids along, we were delighted that the restaurant offered butter noodles for them, a simple but well-executed dish they absolutely loved.
