When having your first baby the list feels never ending with what you need to acquire. After your second baby, you soon realize you don’t quite need as much and that there are a million things were never truly essential. (People always say the wipe warmer lol)

Needless to say, we got rid of so much before our second even arrived as we just weren’t using it. With our first we tried anything and everything, by the second go around I whittled down the list to a few of my favorite things as a new mom of 2, and these are them!

Review: If there is one item that was a such a game changer with navigating sleep time, it’s Kickee Pants! One of the many staple pieces a newborn needs are gowns and footies. Believe it or not there are limitations in this category in terms of organic. That being said, I was elated to find Kickee Pants years ago. KP designs are all bamboo based and buttery soft! They have everything from 2 pieces to onesies, gowns, and have countless new designs being created on a regular basis so you’re never getting bored.

 

I know I’m not the only one that loves this company, because the designs sell out so fast. This second go around all our footed jammies and gowns are still in mint condition because they wash so well. Bonus, you can go up in size and they will still fit snug and stretch and give as well. Ronin could wear older sizes for an extended period of time. If you’re looking for the softest sleep clothes that will last, I highly recommend Kickee Pants!

Review: As a mom of a toddler, I’ve tried every organic diaper imaginable. From the store bought options to the more exclusive online only diapers. I love exploring new brands as there is something different about each and I like when diaper companies tap into other products. With Healthy Nest, they offer non toxic diapers, but also dry wipes and shampoo/body wash that can be hand mixed so that the product lasts and it increases the value. As a whole I loved this company! Review: I know what you’re thinking, animal heads? I’m telling you, I was drawn to these during my first pregnancy and was so bummed I didn’t just get them. I truly love Fiona Walker and all her creations. They are so iconic, that I’ve seen a myriad of off brands trying to replicate her designs, because they are that great! In addition to these unique animal heads she also offers an array of other handmade items. I swear, the creativity and love that goes into each piece is just tangible. This company is based in the UK, but you can find her designs online through many U.S. based retailers. I sampled 2 bunnies and a bear head. These particular designs are staple pieces and to me just, timeless. They make for such a statement piece on the wall of a nursery or play room. Review: I had found Louelle browsing online and was instantly taken by her designs. She offers a handful of staple pieces in a few prints, but there is something about the simplicity in her designs that just catches your attention. She focuses on the gingham print and offers it in an array of colors, and carries everything from bibs to sleep sacks, diaper covers and more. Growing up my mother would dress us in gingham for family pictures so have an affinity for all things gingham. I loved that this was a small business, they carry the classic gingham print, the quality in the fabric is great, everything can be monogrammed if desired, and the look is just timeless. Review: Let me introduce you to the one company you’re going to instantly fall in love with, Beaba! Once I explored their modern baby food maker with Ronin, there was no turning back. I was sold on all things Beaba. The food maker and now air purifier, and bottle warmer have become such game changers in my mom routine. 

 

Since we only need so much for baby #2, one thing we absolutely needed was an air purifier. The Beaba option is sleek, modern, serves as a night light, quiet, and more affordable compared to other purifier on the market. In just a few days, I can tell that the lingering unwanted smells have dissipated and it’s just clean air! A bottle warmer was always something I wanted to try. There are so many items I found to be non essential after my first, I was curious if it fell into that category. It absolutely is essential! If you chill your milk, nobody has time to heat a pot of boiling water etc. This device is seamless to use, powerful, and has milk room temperature in seconds. Review: The Dock A Tot was one of those items I heard so much about within the past year. While it looked like an inflatable raft to me, I soon realized why it’s such a staple product. Although there are many precautions you should take when using the Dock A Tot, it makes for a seamless way to keep your baby cozy while close by, being at home or on the go. In addition to the covers being washable, they come in an array of fun modern designs. Given the amount of buzz surrounding this product alone and the excellent marketing, I was instantly excited about this product. I love the idea of the larger Grand option so that your baby can grow into it, it’s great for travel, the pool, and the covers washable and can even be monogrammed. Review: I’ll be honest, I’ve become more of a bargain hunter the older I get. However, when it comes to feeling comfortable I’m willing to spend out if the quality is there. I promise you, this loungewear combo is worth every penny. Hatch came about a few years ago and they offer a variety of high end maternity apparel options. I love the one piece designs they have, but knew I would get more use out of their loungewear. From a distance this set looks just like any other, but up close it is comfortable, washes well, feels like butter on the skin, and falls in all the right places. I literally lived in both these pieces and even wore the pants out. I was so taken by the quality that I may even get it in black lol. I also tried the belly oil, which I loved. It’s scentless, the packaging is gorgeous, and you get an ample amount. I’m still going through the oil now. I can’t say enough about Hatch, I’m so impressed. If you’re looking to splurge on lounge wear, look no further. You need Hatch!

A lot of moms are not heavy on the prints, myself included, so I love that they offer and array of gender neutral pieces that are all organic. From onesies, to swaddles and more, the quality is noticeable and the material is buttery soft!

Review: I discovered Mini Mori designs with Ronin and they were one of the few companies I really loved thru and thru. Even the packaging of their pieces are so beautifully done, the quality is palpable. The designs are simple, the fabric organic, buttery soft, they wash well, fit well, and last! One thing they are widely loved for are the sleep sacks. Think all sleep sacks are the same? (I did too lol), but theirs is far superior. The sacks are thick, soft, wash well, amazing for fall/winter, and zip all the way around, I could instantly tell Ronin slept better after just the first night. They come in different sizes and even snap in the middle to shorten the sack until your babe grows into it. Bonus, the also have really good sales.

Review: I had always heard of Pehr designs, but didn’t get the pleasure of exploring their line. They offer a wide variety of apparel and even nursery decor from mobiles to sheets and changing pads. Everything has just a personal touch to it and each item seems unique. I love their mobiles, all the bunny designs they offer, that everything is organic, the designs simple and classic and not busy, the buckets are great for storage and also add a designer feel to a nursery or play room, and even the blanket is gorgeous! I came across this company while pregnant with Ronin and didn’t get to order a blanket. This go around I had to try their designs, and I’m just so glad I did. This company offers and array of monogrammed blanket designs, you can custom design them with the colors and monogram, they also offer everything from hats to pillows and more.
