If there is one thing we can all agree on, it’s that brussels are such a win! I make salads with them, soup, you name it, I make it. While we all love simple roasted brussels, you can easily elevate this concept with a fab sauce. Bonus, the options are endless leaving your tastebuds never bored.Â
One ingredient that doesn’t get enough love, is miso! It’s used in a myriad of vegan dishes, but there are so many ways to love miso. You can throw it in pasta, cookies and more. When thinking of the next best sauce, I knew we had to explore miso, but put a fresh modern spin on it with hot honey..Â
and just like that, the new Roasted Hot Honey Miso Brussels were born!

Roasted Hot Honey Miso Brussels
- Total Time: 40 minutes
- Yield: 4 Servings 1x
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, divided
- 2 tablespoons honey, agave or maple syrup
- 3/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 1/2 tablespoons red miso paste
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 pound brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved lengthwise
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Line a pan with parchment paper.
- Cut the brussels in half, toss and coat in 2 tbsp olive oil, season with salt and pepper. Spread out evenly on the pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the 2 tbsp olive oil, honey, red pepper flakes, miso and salt until smooth. Set aside.
- Roast brussels for 30 minutes tossing halfway through with a spatula. Set aside.
- Add the brussels sprouts to a large bowl. Toss and coat in the sauce. Season with additional salt and pepper as needed.
