If there is one thing we can all agree on, it’s that brussels are such a win! I make salads with them, soup, you name it, I make it. While we all love simple roasted brussels, you can easily elevate this concept with a fab sauce. Bonus, the options are endless leaving your tastebuds never bored. 

 

One ingredient that doesn’t get enough love, is miso! It’s used in a myriad of vegan dishes, but there are so many ways to love miso. You can throw it in pasta, cookies and more. When thinking of the next best sauce, I knew we had to explore miso, but put a fresh modern spin on it with hot honey.. 

 

and just like that, the new Roasted Hot Honey Miso Brussels were born!

 

 

 

 


 

What’s great about this recipe? Everything! It’s quick, easy, requires minimal ingredients, packs flavor, nutrients in the miso, it’s sweet, salty, perfect for any season, crispy, you can use the sauce with other dishes, it can easily be made in bulk, can be made vegan, and just so good!

Roasted Hot Honey Miso Brussels

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Line a pan with parchment paper.
  3. Cut the brussels in half, toss and coat in 2 tbsp olive oil, season with salt and pepper. Spread out evenly on the pan.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together the 2 tbsp olive oil, honey, red pepper flakes, miso and salt until smooth. Set aside.
  5. Roast brussels for 30 minutes tossing halfway through with a spatula. Set aside.
  6. Add the brussels sprouts to a large bowl. Toss and coat in the sauce. Season with additional salt and pepper as needed.
  • Prep Time: 10 mins
