Vegan Sugar Free Mocha Hot Chocolate
Hello & Happy Thursday!!
One area of EDS we need to expand, is drinks! With 2 kids I have a wine every now again, but I love a fun beverage like hot chocolate! Believe it or not, I tried various hot chocolates from shops throughout my pregnancies, and I swear..
There wasn’t even one that was mildly good …
Since we nailed a really good Mexican Hot Chocolate, Peppermint White Chocolate, Salted Tahini Hot Chocolate, I was instantly hooked and dreaming of the next flavor. And just like that, the Vegan Sugar Free Mocha Hot Chocolate was born! The hardest thing about this drink, was just trying to capture it with the coconut whip before it melted lol. .
Before you pass on this recipe because it’s so easy to just pick something up from a coffee shop, I promise, making your own drinks is so quick and easy and a million times better than anything you’ll find at a Starbucks! Funny story, I’ve lived above a Starbucks for the last 12 years in 2 different states lol. You can only imagine how many beverages I’ve tried over the years and I say with the utmost confidence.. this drink is also better than anything I’ve ever had there!
Why Mocha?
If you’re familiar with working with chocolate, then you know firsthand that coffee only enhances the flavor of chocolate. Caffeine is also a nice touch to a hot chocolate for those who need a lil pep in their step, so this drink is just such a win win all around.
What’s great about this recipe? It’s quick, easy, perfect for fall/winter, can easily be made in bulk, perfect for entertaining, you could make it an adult beverage if desired, it’s sugar free, creamy, packs a rich chocolate flavor, made with stevia sweetened chocolate, has notes of espresso, and a little bit of salt that ties it all in together!
If you’re all about a homemade winter drink, you have to try this new vegan Sugar Free Mocha Hot Chocolate!
