When it comes to carrots, there are countless things we can do with them. While many see them as something that can just be throw into a salad, I see options! You can put them in a salad yes, but soups, sauces, and even enjoy them as fries.
There are some recipes you just need in your back pocket, this recipe for Air Fried Carrot Fries with Curry Aioli is one of them!
Created over 6 years ago, its been my go to ever since. I can’t seem to figure it out, but for some reason I never shared it in this space. Perhaps I thought people wouldn’t realize how good it is lol. However, I promise you, it’s everything and a bag of chips, or well.. fries!
So I LOVE traditional fries, but I also love to mix it up and throw in some veggies where I can. If done well, you can turn just about any veggie into fries and not miss the real deal. I love carrots as fries for countless reason. The cook fairly fast, resemble fries, have texture, but also get crispy, they pair well with savory dips and offer a hint of sweet, and the list just goes on an on! Bonus, carrot fries pack more nutrients and fiber than a potato keeping you fuller and due to many properties, your skin glowing.
While you can easily roast some carrots into sticks and call them fries and call it a day, you can just as easily pack on some flavor and make a memorable dish that you’ll want to keep around for a lifetime, aka.. these new Air Fryer Spiced Carrot Fries!
Just by imparting a little bit of flavor with pantry staples, you can completely elevate this dish. It’s worth your time, please give it a go! If carrots didn’t pair well with curry already, the sauce! Oh my gosh the sauce is so good. It’s slightly sweet, savory with a hint of heat. You can throw it on anything and everything.
What’s great about this dish? Honestly, everything! It’s quick with the air fryer cutting your time in half, easy, affordable, perfect for any season, can easily be made in bulk, packs tons of flavor, has a hint of heat, a hint of sweet, the fires are crispy, you can add more spices if you like, you can sub out the honey for maple syrup and vice versa, the sauce can be used for other dishes, it’s great for entertaining, and hands down.. my favorite all time dish!
