Vegan Air Fried Asian Sesame Pasta Chips

Hello & Happy Tuesday!!

If you’ve been on social media, I’m sure you’ve seen the popular pasta chip concept. While I’m hesitant to explore food trends, there was something about this that just seemed interesting. It’s pasta? It’s pasta? It’s a chip? The flavors are endless? Sold.

We’ve explored a few different varieties. I did a taco flavored chip, a salt and vinegar, and I just knew that we had to do an Asian style chip! Just like that, the new Asian Sesame Pasta Chips were born!

What’s great about this concept? Everything. Its quick, easy, crispy, you can pair with a sauce if desired, it packs flavor, has notes of garlic and ginger, a hint of sweet, and even a hint of heat! Bonus,  it’s cheap and can easily be made in bulk!

If you have an affinity for Asian flavors, you have to try these new Air Fried Asian Pasta Chips!

  1. Prepare pasta according to box, drain, don’t rinse the pasta.
  2. Coat the pasta with sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, rice wine, and then the spices then the sesame seeds. Toss and coat well.
  3. Heat air fryer to 400 and cook for 5 minutes, toss the pasta, then cook for another 5 until slightly crispy. Once the timer goes off allow the chips to sit in there for a few minutes. They will further crisp up as they sit in there. If you have an air fryer with no heat temperature settings it will take about 15 minutes to cook half of the pasta. Toss and cook every 5 minutes until crispy.
