Vegan Air Fryer Taco Pasta Chips
Hello & Happy Thursday!!
Truth, I still have yet to join Tik Tok as I just can’t fathom taking on another social media platform. However, there have been a few food trends that caught my eye and today, we decided to test one!
While the oven baked pasta with feta looks good, this new pasta chip concept called to me. Chips are typically fried in oil or the healthy options are overly priced. That being said, with countless healthy pasta options on the market, the simplicity in the ingredients and process, I was instantly sold on pasta chips.
Believe it or not this concept has been around, but always fried. (never heard of it until Tik-Tok lol)
So I’m sure you’re asking, is it worth trying? 100% Yes.
Why? You can use any kind of pasta, it’s great if you have many half empty boxes lying around, you can play around with flavors, pair them with dips, they are healthier than traditional chips, more cost effective, can easily be made in bulk, and just so quick and easy!
If you love food trends, Fritos chips, or homemade snacks, you have to try these new vegan Air Fryer Taco Pasta Chips!
Why this recipe is great:

Vegan Air Fryer Taco Chips
- Total Time: 20 minutes
- Yield: 4 cups 1x
Ingredients
- 1 box rotini pasta, cooked, drained
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp cumin
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Prepare pasta according to box, drain, don’t rinse the pasta.
- Coat the pasta with olive oil then the spices. Toss and coat well.
- Heat air fryer to 400 and cook for 5 minutes, toss the pasta, then cook for another 5. If you have an air fryer with no heat temperatures it will take about 15 minutes to cook half of the pasta. Toss and cook every 5 minutes until crispy.
Notes
Tips: If the chips are undercooked, pasta will still be chewy and somewhat white. If overcooked it may be really dark and have bubbles. I noticed the ones with bubbles had less flavor than those cooked a lil less. Also, don’t skimp on the salt or spices before frying.
